The same thing happens with me, I'm guessing it has to do with the fact on how your body absorbs alcohol. While tequila might be 40%, your body might absorb only a little amount of the alcohol. Where as in beer, you might absorb all of the alcohol due to it being less concentrated.

What do you mean by "last longer"? If Tequila is making you fall asleep or pass out, then it seems strange to say that you get more drunk on beer. An average beer has 5% alcohol content, whereas Tequila is closer to the 40% mark. You do the math.

because beer does that...does that to me too for some reason...beer tastes likes s*** (in my opinion) but is so effective...
