Why do people feel a need to minimize the negative impact of male circumcision?

I have a friend that was circumcised at age 19 because his foreskin was becoming a health risk. He had to get circumcised or face impotence. He had sex both before and after this, stating that he felt no more enjoyment from the supposed larger number of nerves before circumcision. To me, this was an "expert opinion" on that matter.

There are risks either way. It's hard to say which way has greater risk. I've seen both opinions suggested and supported. I haven't met anyone experience sex both ways (that's rare, after all) and claim that one way is better.

This is a sad risk to take, but since there is risk both ways, I think sticking to the way that is (marginally) the cultural norm is okay. If one day we determine for sure that it is more risky to circumcise, I certainly hope that practices change.

There aren't any complications with circumcision if a good doctor is doing it. And there are some bad doctors out there, especially those non English speaking bastards in the USA. And I must say that its especially gross to see a penis that has NOT been circumcised. Talk about infections.

You people are so sad. If you're so shitty about it then don't circumcise your sons. Simple huh. But don't have the gall to try and tell other what to do, especially not in matters of faith (Judaism).
